Starting as a caseworker who determined eligibility for public assistance, she became a paralegal who specialized in long-term health care. She has also worked as a quality evaluator in a student loan call center and is now a professional tax preparer. She thrives on helping people understand the system. Having been diagnosed with glaucoma in her twenties, Carolyn has firsthand knowledge of the importance of preventive care and affordable health insurance. A resident of Melrose, Massachusetts, Carolyn is an active volunteer, local food enthusiast, and member of a farm co-op.
