Kelly Rice (they/them) currently serves as the Director of Aging and Disabilities, Central for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, overseeing several Older Americans Act programs for the aging and disability communities. With more than 20 years of experience within health care and social service settings, Kelly facilitates community and professional trainings on topics of LGBTQ aging, advance care planning, end-of-life care, and workforce development. In addition, they have contributed to the body of literature focusing on LGBTQ aging issues, including publication in the Journal of Prevention & Intervention in the Community, as well as a chapter in the book Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Health and Aging. Kelly is an active member in the Chicagoland LGBTQ community and serves on several committees and boards, including the Chicago LGBTQ+ Aging Network, the OUTAging Committee, and the Compassion & Choices LGBTQ+ Leadership Council. Kelly received their M.P.H. and B.A. in women’s studies and sociology at DePaul University.
