Nazia Hussain, M.A. (she/her), is a medical anthropologist, advocate, and social researcher. She has worked with pediatric and immigrant populations to understand issues related to injury/trauma, institutional access, and policy impacts on care and equity. Nazia has had touchpoints across the health care system, both as a researcher and as a patient with chronic illness and autoimmune diseases. She draws on her own health care experiences to advocate for better policies around insurance and underrepresented communities in the medical system and to increase awareness of nonvisible disabilities. Nazia became interested in the All of Us Research Program as a part of seeking solutions around her genetics and disease progression.
