The All of Us Journey Brings More Research Program Features to All of You
Today the All of Us Research Program launches its 2018 – 2019 All of Us Journey tour with its second traveling educational exhibit. This latest All of Us Journey is designed both to raise awareness about the research program and to enable interested people to join the program right onboard, including answering surveys and giving their physical measurements and biosamples.
The new mobile exhibit has added features and hands-on activities:
- A virtual reality experience that teaches people how medical breakthroughs have made a difference in the world
- A waiting area that offers a comfortable space for people to sign up for the program online
- Private rooms for physical measurement and biosample collection
- An interactive station where participants can write a note to share with others about their inspiration for joining the program
The All of Us Research Program aims to build a participant community that reflects the rich diversity of the United States. To help meet this goal, the program launched the first All of Us Journey in August 2017 as a traveling, educational exhibit. Since it hit the road, the All of Us Journey has traveled to 27 states, 60 different cities, and more than 160 separate events to reach communities that have been historically underrepresented in research.
With its expanded features, the second All of Us Journey will kick off its tour in North Kansas City, MO. The mobile education and enrollment center will visit five cities across the Southwest from October to December, with future stops to be announced.
