The All of Us Research Program has issued two distinct funding opportunities for engagement and communications partners to support the program in its historic effort to accelerate research and improve health. The respective awardees will work with All of Us as the program seeks to create one of the most comprehensive and diverse biomedical data resources of its kind by recruiting and retaining one million or more participants from across the United States who reflect the country’s rich diversity.
Engagement and Retention Innovators
The All of Us Engagement and Retention Innovators funding opportunity seeks applicants who can develop impactful engagement experiences, building relationships between the program and its participants. As All of Us seeks to establish long-lasting connections with different communities, we will work with organizations on creating a repository of digital and analog engagement tactics and materials that will educate and inspire the communities they have been designed with.
The awardee(s) will be responsible for developing engagement experiences that are scalable, customizable, and available for use by the program’s national consortium. These experiences should focus on general community engagement, experiential learning, multicultural engagement, digital engagement, and provider engagement.
Communications and Marketing Partners
The All of Us Communications and Marketing Partners funding opportunity seeks applicants who are capable of developing strategies and tactics to raise awareness of the program, drive enrollment of participants, communicate to existing participants to keep them as active partners, and engage the research community to use the data being gathered. The program’s communications and marketing partner(s) must be adaptable to changing priorities and plans, able to work collaboratively with a large consortium of stakeholders, and innovative in developing ways to reach potential participants and retain current participants.
The awardee(s) will be responsible for developing communications, public relations, and marketing strategies to support the national program; developing integrated campaign strategies within regions or demographic segments; providing consortium-wide communications support; and evaluating the effectiveness and impact of messages and communications activities.
Applications for both opportunities are due on March 29, 2019, by 5:00 p.m., local time.
The program anticipates funding at least one award this fiscal year for each funding opportunity, each with an anticipated five-year project period.
