More than 250 trainees in the biomedical sciences joined us for a special webinar from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET on June 24, 2021 to learn more about the All of Us Researcher Workbench. The webinar aimed to present current, actionable information around the All of Us platform, the data, and the many research questions it could help answer. Attendees learned about the policies and requirements for accessing and using our data responsibly as well. The meeting closed with six concurrent breakout sessions, which were opportunities for interactive discussion with All of Us staff and current researchers on the Workbench.
The All of Us Research Program is building a database to help transform the future of health research by equipping researchers with expansive health data from diverse populations, with a special focus on including groups underrepresented in biomedical research. Our current dataset includes information from more than 315,000 participants, more than three-quarters of whom are from communities that are underrepresented in biomedical research and about half of whom are members of racial and ethnic minority groups. All of Us is working to advance health care and science by inviting researchers—at all stages of their careers—to explore the All of Us Researcher Workbench. All of Us is committed to diversity in research, from our participant cohort to our investigators. We believe that research should truly be for all of us.
