Rare Finding in All of Us Data Affects DNA Testing for Certain Cancer Drugs

Experts thought that two variants in the DPYD gene always occurred together. A recent study of DNA data from more than 245,000 All of Us participants found that the variants do not always occur together. This finding has changed how health care providers use DNA tests to decide on the right dose of certain cancer treatments.

As a program partner, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health is working with All of Us to build one of the largest, richest, and most diverse biomedical datasets of its kind. Staff from the National Alliance for Hispanic Health were on-site at ABRCMS 2023 to chat with attendees.

All of Us Booth and Workshop at the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Annual Symposium

The “Phenome Wide Association Studies (PheWAS) in the All of Us Researcher Workbench” workshop presented an overview of the Researcher Workbench and the program. It also featured a guided demonstration of a PheWAS study with genomics and electronic health record data in the Workbench.
